Handbags: Come see what's new - The Manhattan Limited Edition series will debut at the Gig Harbor Arts Festival July 19-20, 2008. The range of textiles is incredible! Those of you who have been to our retail shows and then come to the website will notice that there are many bags that haven't made it onto the site yet. That's because , it's more of my art than a product for wide distribution. So, we are adding handbags - just, a few at a time. We hope you'll keep coming back and checking in, to see what's new! A true story: A lovely story comes from a customer, Cindius Romney, who bought some barrettes for her dog at a show we did in Gig Harbor, over the summer. She phoned us up, several weeks after the show to tell us that she had gotten her dog at a shelter and she had been abused as a puppy. Until now, people had not responded well to her - they rather backed away. It wasn't that she was mean - it just seemed like she wasn't very approachable. Cindius said that, when she put the barrette in her dog's hair and went out for a walk, people were suddenly responding to her dog in a totally new way - approaching her as if she were the most adorable creature in the world; leaning down to pet her without hesitation. And, the most lovely part - to us - is that Cindius says she is seeing a positive change in her dog's behavior, as a result of this newfound attention!
